NO on LGBT in the Polish community????

Poland's LGBT community is fleeing the country as government sponsored persecution mounts an LGBT civil rights activist said on Wednesday.
Robert Biedron, head of the Polish Foundation Against Homophobia, said thousands of gays have packed up and left - many to Germany and the UK.
"It is incredible. The Polish gay community has just moved away because of the climate of fear and persecution," Biedron told The Daily Mail.

"Most of the people I know are now in England because of the current political situation. Not for economic reasons, but because of the persecution of homosexuals going on here.

ssShhhH silence for peace!

On the National Day of Silence hundreds of thousands of students nationwide take a vow of silence to bring attention to anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harassment in their schools.

On April 6, 2009, Carl Walker-Hoover took his life after enduring constant bullying, including anti-LGBT bullying. Though Carl did not identify as gay, his story is a tragic reminder that anti-LGBT bullying and harassment affects all students. Carl would have turned 12 on the 2009 Day of Silence.

FACT'

we have the material to create the strong structures of each of our communities, while still building the foundation for a coalition of our diversity to fight for commons goals. if we want to win our own demands, we need allies. And as we fight for each other's rights, we strengthen our own.

sandman series

I ran across this on a random website and thought it was very interesting, I for one had never heard of a LGBT comic book
(im late on everything) never the less here's the posting!

background:: Here is one of my favorites from The Sandman, which had quite a few strongly portrayed LGBT characters. This week we meet Alvin Mann, also known as Wanda. Wanda is a pre-op transsexual who turned out to be too afraid of surgery to get the last bit... taken care of, if you get my drift.

Wanda is the neighbor and best friend of Barbie, who gets wrapped up in a misadventure in the dream world of Morpheus. As with many Sandman stories, it's not Morpheus but the side characters who have the greatest impact on us. Wanda makes her impact by guarding Barbie while she is asleep, left behind because she isn't a true woman and unable to walk the path into dreams opened by fellow neighbor and witch, Thessaly. Discussing it a bit later, she wasn't too happy about the rejection.

history month

THE HIGHLIGHTS so far ...

LGBT History Month was launched at the start of February. Select this link to visit the website.

West Dunbartonshire:

West Dunbartonshire area workers lead the way in forming a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Equality Network. This is the best example in all of the Scottish local councils of workers getting together and forming a network on an area of work that has never been broached in the region before.

is change really coming?

heres a random postin g that i found will browsing blogs i thought it was might interesting whats your input?
"Fantastic cover shot from The Advocate referring to how Obama has let down queers. He certainly owes the LGBT community much more than he has delivered thus far. But he is telling us to ‘wait’ a little bit longer. Sorry, that just is not acceptable. And with the Human Rights Campaign telling us to cut him some slack till 2017, we realize what ‘waiting a little longer’ means".
